My current project at university is called Border Crossings which is all about identity and culture. My chosen theme I have been exploring is based on the Arbroath Harbour. As well as researching it’s history and how it became so well known, I have been doing some location drawing and taking photos of objects found at the Harbour. Things like rope, netting and rusty old boats have been a large part of inspiration for me.

Yes! thank you, i have been finding working with the netting and rope really useful. My tutor loved the quick sketches of them and thinks i should be pushing forward with this to create my final knitted samples.
